SNAP KICK MARTIAL ARTS (SKMA)
Snap Kick Martial Arts (SKMA) was founded on the premise that anyone can be trained to become a highly skilled martial artist in multiple arts and also become a proficient and effective leader, developing the skills and confidence needed to defend oneself and handle life’s myriad challenges.
SKMA is a full-service martial arts school and fitness facility and is the leading provider of martial arts, street-smart self-defense and character development training for children, teens and adults. Our programs focus on seamlessly combining aspects of Karate, Krav Maga, Jujitsu, Self Defense and Kobudo (Okinawan weapons).
MARTIAL ARTS LEADERSHIP ASSOCIATION (MALA)
As a Martial Arts Leadership Association (MALA) school, we strive to provide the best in quality instruction, both physically and mentally. We blend both the ancient principles of the martial arts with a modern philosophical approach. We teach the physical techniques that have been proven to be the most practical in our modern society. We have created an effective and relevant curriculum designed to assist you in achieving your goal to become a Black Belt Leader.
At SKMA, we begin by introducing our students to the attitudes and principles of discipline, self-defense and good health. As each student grows, we expect them to contribute a maximum amount of effort and determination to elevate their self-defense capabilities as well as strengthen their mind, body and spirit. We strive to instill qualities of humility, honesty, courage and zeal in each student, instructor and parent.
Ultimately, we use the martial arts as a vehicle to provide our students with the ability to become positive contributors to society and champions in all aspects of life. We ensure that each student is given the individualized attention that is needed to master the martial arts and master one’s self.

With state-of-the-art equipment and spacious training facilities, we are able to offer robust programs in a comfortable and functional environment.
We have chosen Century Martial Arts, and Revgear Original as our primary suppliers for martial arts gear and equipment. Our equipment is used to develop strength, conditioning and agility. Our primary training gear consists of punching bags, body shields, target pads, focus mitts, resistance bands, medicine balls, jump ropes, and free-weights. All students are required to provide their own personal equipment which we have available in our pro shop. Visit our virtual store where you can also find martial arts accessories, equipment and uniforms. We only offer the very best that the industry has to offer when it comes to our gear.
Our mats are versatile and suitable for any style of martial arts. We have chosen Dollamur Sport Surfaces and specifically Swain Hybrid Tatami Vinyl Mats for our training floor surfaces, and Action Floor Systems for our floating subfloor system. The combination of these two technologies has created the foundation of our world-class facilities.
Our mats offer the traditional low-profile tatami texture for the traditional martial arts practitioner, which provides a non-slip, sure-footed support surface for pivoting without “sticking” but still allowing for traction. This becomes very beneficial for kicking when pivoting is a must! These mats are conversely the best for impact absorption, grappling, throws and takedowns. Our mats are a unique blend of 50% smooth and 50% tatami vinyl for an innovative low profile.
Our floating non-anchored subfloor system is resilient and has uniform playability with consistent shock absorption to enhance student safety and longevity. Parents take comfort in knowing that their children are training on a forgiving floor. Our adult students especially appreciate the forgiveness on the body particularly on the knees and hips.
